1. Seems obvious but….dont collect orchids from the wild, dont take peices of orchids from the wild. END 

There really is no reason to do this – every epiphytic species of native orchid is already currently in cultivation and can be reproduced by seed. There is no reason to take plants from the wild – with terrestial species while their flowers are oh so pretty growing the various terrestrial species is highly specialised so dont take a wild plant home to be your test subject — if you want to try growing terrestrial orchids start with something propagated in captivity and something that is easy to grow.

I am so sick of reading on facebook or websites oh “I found this orchid on the weekend” or seeing illegally collected plants being offered on ebay. Just stop it dont be a part of it.
